“Senate Leader Endorses Berger for Railroad Commissioner”

Respected Texas Senator and former Chairman of the Texas Sunset Commission, Glenn Hegar today endorsed Republican Railroad Commissioner candidate, Becky Berger. Hegar is the latest in a long list of conservative Texans to join Berger’s campaign to put and actual Energy Professional in as Railroad Commissioner instead of wannabe politicians looking for stepping stones to bigger offices.

“Becky Berger is an energy industry professional who knows oil & gas, pipelines, permit processes and how to move the Texas Energy industry forward against Obama’s liberal regulations” Hegar said. “I know Becky Berger and I have worked with her for years. She is a well respected leader in the Republican Party and her work with the Texas Federation of Republican Women is tireless” Hegar continued.

Voters will select a Republican nominee in the May 29th Primary. Early Voting is currently under way. Becky Berger is a geologist who is seeking the Republican nomination for the full term seat for Texas Railroad Commissioner.

KCRP COUNTY CONVENTION STRAW POLL RESULTS

Kerrville, Texas – The Kerr County Republican Party (KCRP) today held its County Convention at the Kerr County Courthouse. The delegation elected Rob Henneke as its Chairman as part of the process in selecting delegates for the Republican State Convention. The delegation appointed 39 delegates to the State Convention in Fort Worth this coming June.

“As part of today’s proceedings, the KCRP County Convention held a straw poll for candidates on the upcoming Republican Primary ballot,” said KCRP Chair John Elliott. “All delegates were allowed to cast a ballot and delegates could only vote once.”

“This year’s County Convention was unusual for two reasons,” said Henneke. “First, the County Convention was held before the Primary election date. Second, because there were no precinct conventions, any Kerr County registered voter could attend today’s County Convention and participate as a delegate.”

The results of the KCRP County Convention Straw Poll are as follows (NOTE: Only candidates in contested races that received votes are listed):
